The satin angora is known for the amazing sheen of the wool. Satin angoras have the finest wool of all the angora breeds, but produce the least. The colors are rich and vibrant compared to the other angoras.
They have a commercial body type and finish at around 8 pounds. The wool should shine from nose to tail tip. Satin angoras are scarce, and sometimes hard to come by depending on where you live. They shed their wool periodically and must be plucked.
