Idaho Pasture Pigs
IPPs are the perfect homestead or hobby farm pig. They are medium-sized and docile.
Due to the shape of their short, upturned faces, they do not dig monster-sized holes,
rather just turn the surface of the soil while they search for roots.
IPPs have a face shaped for grazing and eat tons of hay and greenery as part of their total diet.
Adults only need a scant 2-4 pounds of grain per day if they have hay and/or graze access all the time.
This is such a great breed; easy to take care of and easy on the land.
Treated kindly,they grow up docile, reliable and easy to manage.
Fed with purpose, they finish in 7-10 months with rich, red, marbled, tasty meat.
Not too fat, not too lean.
Our pigs get 2 # per day of a soy free grain mix, plus raw milk,
garden leftovers and all the greenery we can provide them.
They LOVE Stinging Nettle and ragweed.

Our sows birth two litters per year so we have feeders available in spring and fall.
Summer litters are here and about ready to go!
Our piglets are thick, strong and hardy.
All babies are born outside in open ended wooden A-frames bedded deeply in soft hay and they thrive.
Feeders pigs are $150 each or $125 each for 3 or more.
Quality registered breeders are $450 and up, details depending.
